Data Protection

This memorial website processes personal data only to the extent necessary to publish your condolences and to collect files for the artistic estate archive. We do not use tracking, analytics or advertising, and we do not share your data with third parties for such purposes.

1. Controller

The party responsible for data processing on this website is the site operator named in the Legal Notice. You can reach us at joey-love-memorial@proton.me.

2. Data we process

Condolence form

When you leave a condolence, we process the name you enter and your message. This information is published publicly on this website together with the date of submission.

File uploads (optional)

If you choose to upload files (images, videos, audio, PDF), we additionally process your name, email address and the files you submit. These files are not published; they are collected privately for the artistic estate archive. Your name and email are stored so we can contact you with follow-up questions regarding the use of the files. Uploading files, and this storage, only takes place with your explicit consent (the checkbox in the form).

IP address

When you submit the form, your IP address is used for spam prevention and is stored only in irreversibly hashed form (SHA-256 with a secret key). The plain IP address is not stored by the application.

Server log files

Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores technical access data (server log files), such as the requested page, browser type, date and time, and the IP address of the requesting device. This is required for the secure and stable operation of the website.

3. Legal bases

• Publication of condolences and storage of uploaded files including your contact details: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
• Spam prevention, security and stable operation (including hashed IP and server logs): our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Cookies

This website uses a single technically necessary session cookie (PHPSESSID) to secure the form against misuse (CSRF protection) and to display status messages. No tracking, analytics or marketing cookies are set. No consent banner is required for this strictly necessary cookie.

5. No third-party services

This website does not use Google reCAPTCHA, web analytics, advertising networks, social media plugins or externally hosted fonts. All fonts, images and scripts are served from this website's own server.

6. Hosting

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Inh. René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany, acting as our processor. Data is processed on servers located in Germany.

7. Retention

• Published condolences remain visible until removed by the operator or upon your request.
• Uploaded files and the associated name/email are kept as part of the estate archive until they are no longer needed or you request deletion.
• Hashed IP addresses and login-attempt records are used for security only and are deleted periodically.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access your personal data (Art. 15),
• rectification (Art. 16),
• erasure (Art. 17),
• restriction of processing (Art. 18),
• data portability (Art. 20),
• object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21), and
• withdraw consent at any time with future effect.

9. Updates

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to the website or legal requirements. The current version always applies.
